Well it's 7:10 AM on a Saturday and I've already been up for two hours, had my first 16 oz of coffee and getting ready to fix breakfast.
Now you might be asking your self why on God's Green Earth am I up at the the "buttcrack" of dawn on a Saturday. Well I am trying to get a few things done so that we can get out of this house early and enjoy a family day together - something we haven't done in a long time! Also we are getting a new roof put on our house and the roofers are supposed to be here soon and I really don't want to have to listen to all that noise and ruckus today!!
We are running a few quick errands this morning then going to Newport Aquarium for a few hours. Then a few more family errands - I'm making the men go grocery shopping with me this afternoon - not sure if that is a wise thing to do or not, lol.
Hopefully the weather will be nice today, so far the sun is starting to shine, the sky is mostly clear and I hear the birds singing! Gotta love spring!!
I will take pictures today and try to post some this weekend!
Hope ya all have a great, relaxing and rejuvenating weekend!
This is a blog about my family otherwise known as The BratPack! I'm the momma therefore I am the LEADER! Watch and read as my family grows!

My Sanctuary

You ever have one of those places you can go to and find peace, comfort, and tranquility? For me, one of my favorite places of "sanctuary" is on my mother and father-in-laws property in Marysville OH. They have an awesome house on about 40 acres of property. Most of this property is wooded but before you get to the wooded territory there is a HUGE pond that my FIL keeps stocked with large/small mouth bass, blue gill, and it has it's own abundance of bullfrogs and turtles.
I could literally spend all day out at the pond. If I'm not fishing I'm sitting on the dock enjoying the beauties of my surroundings or I'm out on the pedal boat just floating around the pond. This is one place that I can go and clear my head and recall some of my fondest memories from my past. It gives me a chance to put life into perspective, to regroup, and to just relax. It also gives me the thrill of reeling in "THE BIG ONE"! Being a farm pond the fish don't get as big but if you use a little pole, such as Jesse's little Scooby Doo pole, ohhhhhhhhh you can have some fun, lol. I got to spend the entire day Saturday in my "sanctuary" and it was refreshing, relaxing and fun!! If you can't tell I LOVE the outdoors, always have and hopefully always will.

All Stressed Over A Stress Test!
Ok for those of you who may not know I have a pacemaker (have had one since 1997), actually this is my second one (it was implanted in 2004). Anyway for the past four or five months my pacemaker and/or heart have been having "issues" such as skipped beats, beating too fast/too slow. We aren't sure if it's the pacer malfunctioning or another new problem with my heart.
Sooooooooo today I had a stress test, echocardiogram and a thalimine (sp?) heart scan. My heart "cooperated" and started doing some of it's funky stuff during all three tests. However it was all "technicians" and nurses running the tests so they weren't at liberty to tell me anything, other than I was now somewhat radioactive for the next three days and to go home and rest the next day or two!! Soooooo we are waiting to hear back from the doctor about these tests as well as some blood work that was done earlier in the week.
Tonight I am feeling totally wiped out, like I've been hit several times with a Mack truck!! My heart is still acting up and having chest pains/discomfort, but I guess this too shall pass - or at least I hope it does.
Not much new going on in our lives the past couple of days. Just trying to get through the next 2 1/2 weeks of school - this has been a good week for Jesse - PRAISE GOD! Doing some work around the house - getting ready to have a new roof put on and some drywall / wall repairs and painting done in our living room.
We will be spending the weekend at my in laws so I'm hoping to get some fishing time in (they have a HUGE stocked pond!!), some quiet reading time, and maybe even a nap:):) Hopefully I'll have some new pix to post next week.
Have a great night and all those readers who are mothers - ENJOY OUR MOTHER'S DAY -- YOU DESERVE IT!!

Talk About A Day Of DUHS!!
Ever had one of those days, where it seems like every time you turn around you want to yell "DUH" at someone? Today was one of those days for me!
Sometimes I think if people would stop or at least slow down and realize what they have done they would smack themselves in the head and yell DUH!
The biggest DUH was when I was out running errands and riding on my motorbike. It's not that big but it is BRIGHT RED W/MATCHING RED HELMET and if you haven't noticed I'm not a little skinny minny! Anywhooo I'm driving up Madison Road in Oakley and some lady (who is literally only about 20 feet away) decides to turn left in front of me as well as the car in the lane next to me. I grabbed for the brakes and yanked to the right taking to the sidewalk and the other car skidded to a stop. Now not only was this lady being STOOPID by turning left in front of us, but she was multi tasking while driving. By this I mean, she was driving, smoking a cigarette, talking on the phone and oh yeah had her little rat dog on her lap while she was driving!! OK, can we all say DUUUUUHHHHHH!!
I just don't understand how people think they can do that many things while driving and have no concern for the lives they are putting at risk!! Drives me absolutely nuts - and yes that is a short trip, lol.
Anywhooooooooooo it has been one of those days and I'm sooooooo ready to go to bed and put it behind me! Good Night To Ya' All!!

Ok, this is my first official Blog Site - that is unless you count the few blogs I have done on my MySpace page. I have a few friends that have blogs so thought I would give it a try!
I am the mommy of a 7 year old son, Jesse, who is high functioning Aspergers (a form of autism). He is currently in the Kindergarten and is anxiously waiting to move on to the first grade in a few months.
I have been married 7 years 8 months to my wonder husband and best friend, Joshua. We met on on the internet - yes a scary thing to do in this day and age, but thankfully God had a hand in it!
Josh is employed full time at Convergys here in Cincinnati. I'm a full time mommy who "moonlights" as a mystery shopper/merchandiser for some extra spending money.
Our "second home" as we call it, is Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Norwood Ohio - an awesome place to serve God and to grow in faith and together as a family! I wouldn't trade my "extended" family for anything!!
My goal is to try and post at least weekly if not more often to my blog. I have found that on those days when life is just about to bowl me over, if I can sit and write about it, I can rationally think things through. Plus I get a chance to sing the praises of the high points of our lives as well!!
Well it's 9:40 PM and it has been a LONG Monday, sooooooo off to bed!
